On Thursday, singer/songwriter Ashlee Simpson-Wentz and husband Peter Wentz (bassist for pop-funk group Fall Out Boy) became first-time parents to a healthy baby boy. Bronx Mowgli Wentz was born at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles weighing 7lbs. 11ozs.
There has been no mention of why the moniker Bronx was chosen, however, Mowgli is the name of a character in “In the Rukh,” a short story by Rudyard Kipling and is best known for being the lead in the
animated film, “The Jungle Book,” which was inspired by Kipling’s work.
In preparation for the baby, new aunt Jessica Simpson held a Winnie-the-Pooh themed baby shower for her sister at Hotel Bel-Air about three weeks ago.
Both Ashlee and Bronx are said to be healthy and happy. Congratulations!

When a woman thinks she may be pregnant, choosing the most accurate pregnancy test on store shelves suddenly becomes a top priority. But, which of the many brands in front of you has a proven track record of accurately detecting early pregnancy?
The University of New Mexico at Albuquerque conducted a series of studies concerning the accuracy of 18 at-home pregnancy tests. Researchers found that most of the tests were not sensitive enough for early detection as soon as one to 1-2 days after a missed menstrual cycle. Here are the results of their findings:
FIRST PLACE: First Response Early Result Accurately detected pregnancy in 95% of women on the first and second day after a missed period.
SECOND PLACE: Clearblue Easy In a follow-up study, Clearblue Easy accurately detected 80% of pregnancies.
As for the MOST accurate pregnancy test of all – a blood test at your doctor's office.
